MARY FLACK
she /her
Mary Flack started Insight Fine Art Studio in 2016. Mary is known as a supportive and encouraging instructor, and has taught at various locations including private studios, high schools, colleges and park districts. Mary opened Insight because she wanted to create a program which would allow students of all ages to grow as artists through personalized instruction based in traditional drawing and painting techniques, and in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Mary earned a BFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and an MFA from the American Academy of Art in Chicago. She has won numerous awards for her artwork and creates commissioned paintings and portraits for select clients. EUGENE SMITH

Eugene Smith is an illustrator who has worked in print and digital illustration for the past two decades. Eugene has created illustrations for clients such as Llewelyn Publishing, Scholastic Books, The Washington Post, Quirk Books, The Chicago Fire, Chronicle Books and many other clients. He has done a wide variety of illustration work that includes children's books, graphic novels, packaging design, corporate branding, and editorial work.
Eugene graduated from the Academy of Art University with a degree in Painting and Drawing in 2000. Eugene's illustrations draw from his extensive training in traditional drawing and painting, and he is excited to share these same foundational skills with the students at Insight. DEB ANDERSON
she / her
Deb Anderson paints still life and landscapes in oil, both in her Glenview studio and outdoors, on location. The practice of painting helps her perceive the world more clearly, and encourages a deeper appreciation for our surroundings.
Deb grew up in rural Michigan and later earned a B.A. in Art from North Park University in Chicago. She is also a freelance graphic designer, and has taught classes in digital illustration and digital imaging at the college level.
Her paintings have sold across the country and internationally. She has received numerous awards for art. She exhibits with the Glenview Art League, Gallery 1070 in Chicago and the Danon Gallery in Evanston. Deb's work can be found at debrha.wordpress.com
S.E. (Sev) Stohler

Sev Stohler was born in Anderson, Indiana. They attended the Art Institute of Chicago where they graduated in 2019 with a degree in comics, painting and printmaking. Sev’s work has been featured in several exhibitions and anthologies such as GOING STEADY and Xerox Candy Bar, and has been published in MOUTH magazine, among others. Sev is working steadily toward their goal of publishing their own series of graphic novels. Susie Saracino
she / her
Susie Saracino is a realist painter whose layered portraits and florals explore the depths of human emotion and the beauty of light. Her work reflects on the fragility of life and the balance between darkness and hope.
A Detroit native, Saracino studied Psychology and Art History at Washington University in St. Louis before earning a BFA in Painting and Drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her career has included founding a collaborative artist studio, designing for luxury accessory brands, and teaching art to children and adults.
Saracino’s work has been exhibited nationally, is featured in private collections and Boston Children’s Hospital, and has appeared in Pickchur Magazine. She lives in Chicago’s Portage Park neighborhood with her family and continues to create emotive, luminous artwork. Follow her at @susiesaracino.
